Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 Series Launches With Batteries Built to Outlast Your Day
Xiaomi launched the REDMI Note 17 series in the Philippines today, four phones deep: REDMI Note 17, REDMI Note 17 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, and REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Every one of them leans on the same pitch, a battery that outlasts your day by a wide margin.
The Battery Numbers
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G carries what Xiaomi calls its largest smartphone battery yet, 10,000mAh, with 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G steps down to 8,340mAh with 67W HyperCharge. The REDMI Note 17 5G and the base REDMI Note 17 both pack 7,700mAh batteries with 45W charging.
All four run on Xiaomi’s Titan Battery System, built on silicon-carbon battery technology. Xiaomi claims the cells hold onto at least 80 percent of their original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, roughly six years of typical use. That figure comes from Xiaomi’s own lab testing, not an independent source, worth keeping in mind.
Built To Survive the Philippines
Durability is the other half of the pitch. The Pro Max and Pro 5G are the first phones anywhere to earn TÜV SÜD’s 5-star Titan Durability Certification, covering drop resistance, water resistance, and battery performance. Both carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, survived a 2-meter, 72-hour water resistance test, and add an Underwater Mode for good measure. Xiaomi also drop tested them from up to three meters onto granite, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top.
The whole lineup also gets up to six years of security updates, with the Pro Max promising what Xiaomi calls a six-year “like-new” software experience.
Design and Extras
The redesigned camera module comes with flat displays, rounded corners, and dual-finish back panels across the series. The Pro Max ships in Cloud Blush, Purple, and Black, with the Cloud Blush variant shifting from white to a pink-orange tone under UV light. The Pro models get 6.83-inch, 1.5K displays that hit up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, while the Note 17 5G and base Note 17 stick with larger 6.99-inch screens.
The Pro Max runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset with up to 24GB of RAM through Memory Extension, and the whole series supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search.

In the Philippines, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts at PHP 28,999 for 8GB and 256GB storage, PHP 30,999 for a Shopee-exclusive 12GB and 256GB configuration, and PHP 32,999 for 16GB and 512GB. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G starts at PHP 20,999. The REDMI Note 17 5G starts at PHP 15,999, and the base REDMI Note 17 starts at PHP 13,999.
Those prices reflect an early-bird promo running from September 15 to October 1, which also throws in a free REDMI Watch 6 Active or REDMI Buds 8 Lite, plus trials for Google One, YouTube Premium, and Spotify Premium. The series is now live on Lazada, Shopee, and the official Xiaomi Store.
