Ben&Ben’s Ninth-Year Anthology

Ben&Ben announced its first anthology album on September 9. The Filipino folk-pop band will release “Nine” on September 24, marking the group’s ninth year and its last as a nine member ensemble.

“‘Nine’ An Anthology Album for the first nine years,” the group wrote in its announcement, alongside cover art showing all nine members on a rocky landscape, their faces partially covered by bright, square shaped images.

The Sound Before the Exit

Drummer Jam Villanueva announced last December that 2026 would be her final year with the band. Since then, Ben&Ben has been playing shows in her honor and re-releasing older material.

The band has put out a run of reimagined tracks ahead of the anthology: “Lifetime” in March, “Autumn” in May, and “Leaves” in August.

What’s Actually On It

The tracklist has not been confirmed. “Nine” is expected to pull from the band’s three studio albums, “Limasawa Street,” “Pebble House, Vol: Kuwaderno,” and “The Traveller Across Dimensions,” along with the original self titled EP from when the group was still just twins Paolo and Miguel Guico.

Manila Bulletin and Billboard Philippines both note the band has not said whether the reimagined tracks will make the cut. The album is available for pre-save now.

The Countdown Before the Coliseum

The album drops just over a week before the band’s “Saranggola” concert on October 2 at the Araneta Coliseum, which will be Villanueva’s final show with the group.
