Liza Soberano Joins the Cast of Audible’s The Moons of LA
Liza Soberano is joining the cast of The Moons of LA, a scripted comedy series from Audible. It premieres October 8. Ken Jeong, Randall Park and Daniel Dae Kim lead the cast.

Chloe Moon investigates her parents
Alyssa Abiera plays Chloe Moon, a middle schooler who loves investigative journalism podcasts. Chloe uses those skills to try to save her parents’ marriage. She interviews relatives and her father’s golf buddies along the way.
The show is a coming-of-age comedy that gives the true-crime podcast genre a comedic, meta spin. Daniel Dae Kim has said the series uses situational comedy to look at immigrant family dynamics and how generations define achievement.
Who is in the cast
Paul Bae wrote the series. He is known for The Black Tapes. James Kim, who directed Moonface, directs it. The cast includes Jae Suh Park, Jimmy O. Yang, John Cho, Sherry Cola, Vivian Bang, Sydney Park and Soberano. Most of the cast is Asian American and Pacific Islander.
Audible, 3AD and At Will Media co-produced the series. 3AD is Daniel Dae Kim’s production company, and the project is part of his first-look deal with Audible. Ken Jeong, John Cheng, Will Malnati and Ashley Taylor executive produce it.

Soberano’s Hollywood run
The series adds to her international résumé. She has been building her career in Hollywood after leaving Philippine showbiz. She returned to California in 2022 to pursue acting and has since starred in the horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein (2024). She debuted as a voice actress in the animated series Trese in 2021.
She also voices Raissa in DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, which opened in theaters in September and is now showing in Philippine cinemas. H.E.R. voices Jo, Raissa’s best friend. The two are recent high school graduates about to go their separate ways. The film draws on Filipino folklore. Soberano has said she long wanted to be in a project that showed the Philippines accurately while still connecting with audiences everywhere. She is currently promoting the film.
