GTA 6 Has a Pre-Order Date, a Cover, and a November Launch
Rockstar Games has set June 25 as the start of pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6, with the game dropping on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The announcement came with a thirty-second video revealing the official cover art. Over a booming synth, the faces of protagonists Jason and Lucia appear above the title, alongside additional characters set to appear in the game. The fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar’s Florida-inspired setting, shows up in the form of flamingos and alligators. Fast cars, helicopters, and motorbikes fill out the rest in the series’ signature pop-art style.
Pre-orders will be available through digital storefronts like PlayStation Store and select physical retailers. Rockstar did not announce pricing alongside the reveal.
That last part is worth noting. The question of what GTA 6 will cost has been running in the background for months. A 2025 report from gaming industry advisory company Epyllion raised the possibility of a $100 price point, which would make it the first major title to cross that threshold. No confirmation either way yet.
The game has already been delayed twice from its original autumn 2025 window, then from May 2026. This November date is where things stand.
For context on how much people care: the two trailers Rockstar has released, in 2023 and 2025, have accumulated 446 million views combined. GTA 5, which the new game follows, came out in 2013 and remains the second best-selling game of all time.
No new gameplay trailer has been released alongside this announcement, though fans have been waiting on one since the 2025 reveal.
Pre-orders open June 25. Release is set for November 19.
