Alex Eala Shares Her Calvin Klein Front Row Moment
Alex Eala posted photos Sunday from her appearance at Calvin Klein’s Spring 2027 runway show, held two days earlier at Terminal Warehouse in New York City. The Filipino tennis star, a career-high world No. 18, sat front row for the presentation in an all white ensemble.
Inside The Show
Calvin Klein’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, designed by creative director Veronica Leoni, continued her exploration of what the brand calls American Minimalism. The show took place inside Terminal Warehouse, a converted industrial building in Chelsea, with three floor sculptures by artist Walter De Maria set along the runway. Kid Harpoon composed the soundtrack, built around music from Laurie Anderson and Solange.
Eala wore a relaxed white long sleeve button down shirt, off white slacks, pointed toe heels, and white gloves, finished with a silver “The One” clutch.
A Packed Front Row
Eala’s seat placed her among a wide mix of names from film, music, and fashion. Sadie Sink and Tate McRae sat nearby, along with Rosalía, Pamela Anderson, Gemma Chan, Katie Holmes, and Misty Copeland, among others on the show’s official guest list.
Fashion As Another Kind Of Court
Eala has spoken before about style as an extension of her personality on tour, including incorporating Filipino elements into her outfits as a nod to her roots. She has said tennis gives athletes more room to express themselves through fashion than some other sports allow.
Her Calvin Klein appearance came in the same week she reached the US Open third round for the first time, a run that ended on September 6.
