Gandang Gabi Vice Is Coming Back

ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes confirmed the comeback during the network’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting on August 19. The new season airs next month on GMA Network, iWant, and Kapamilya Channel.

GMA Is New Territory for GGV

The show ended its original run on March 8, 2020, with Raffy Tulfo as the final guest after almost nine years on air. Vice Ganda had hinted for years that GGV would return after what he called a long commercial break.

This is the first time GGV airs on GMA. The two networks have been working together on other shows since ABS-CBN lost its broadcast franchise, but GGV itself has never aired there before. Vice Ganda already hosts “It’s Showtime” on GMA, so the pairing isn’t completely out of nowhere. The new season will be on free TV through GMA and streaming through iWant and Kapamilya Channel.

What’s Still Unconfirmed

ABS-CBN has not yet released the exact premiere date, timeslot, or guest lineup for the new season. More details are expected in the coming weeks.

ABS-CBN also confirmed a separate “Pinoy Big Brother” collaboration with GMA for October, so GGV isn’t the only old franchise making a comeback this year.

“Gandang Gabi Vice” first premiered in May 2011. It’s the show where Vice Ganda built his mix of celebrity interviews and comedy bits, with the occasional musical number thrown in, and it’s one of the projects he’s most associated with.
