SB19 Makes History As The First Filipino Act At Lollapalooza
SB19 became the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza, taking the Allianz Stage in Grant Park, Chicago, on July 30, 2026, at 3:30 PM local time, 4:30 AM Philippine time on July 31. The group played a nearly hour-long set that ran through “DAM,” “GENTO,” “LAWLESS,” “Emoji,” “MAPA,” “Wakas,” “Mga Kababayan,” “DUNGKA!,” and “CRIMZONE.”
A New Single, Released The Same Day
The set doubled as the live debut of SB19’s newest single. SB19 performed “LAWLESS” live for the first time, with the track simultaneously released on digital streaming platforms along with its official lyric video on YouTube. The song is a blues rock inspired track that was released hours ahead of the set, and it is a standalone single, not part of any EP or album rollout.
A Crowd Well Beyond Chicago
The performance reached far past Grant Park. More than 300,000 viewers tuned in to the group’s livestream on Weverse alone, not counting those who watched through the Disney+ app. Back home, the Department of Tourism hosted a public watch party of the performance at the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium.
What SB19 Said After
Once the set wrapped, the group posted photos from the festival and a message for fans. SB19 said they hoped they made an impact and that they were “beyond proud to represent the Philippines” at Lollapalooza, adding that it would not be their last performance there.
What’s Next
SB19 are set to perform at Summer Sonic 2026 on August 14 in Osaka and August 15 in Tokyo, joining fellow Filipino acts BINI and ena mori. Before that, the group has thanksgiving fan meets in the United States, and they’ll return to America in October for the KPOPWORLD Festival in Texas.
