Xbox Nano Controller Costs $49.99 and Works on Consoles, PC, Phones and Select TVs
Microsoft announced the Xbox Nano Controller on October 14. It costs $49.99, and pre-orders opened the same day.
Small enough to carry
Microsoft says the controller is meant for younger players, people with smaller hands and anyone who wants something to take along. It describes the pad as sized for a pocket and priced for most budgets.
Works on more than an Xbox
The Nano Controller supports consoles and PC. It also connects to iOS, Android and select smart TVs.

Four players, four controllers
Microsoft’s example is Minecraft Dungeons II, where up to four players can team up in local co-op or online. At $49.99 each, four Nano Controllers cost $199.96.
Samsung TVs can run the games
In the US, an offer with select Samsung TVs this holiday includes a Nano Controller and two months of Game Pass Ultimate. It is open to new members only.
The Xbox app is available through the Gaming Hub built into Samsung TVs. In select regions, players can connect the controller and use their monthly cloud playtime on hundreds of Game Pass titles.
Meta Quest buyers get an offer too
Microsoft is also working with Meta on a US holiday offer. Buy a Meta Quest and you get a Nano Controller plus two months of Game Pass Ultimate, again for new members.
Early November
Pre-orders are open now. The release is set for early November, and reports give both November 3 and November 4 as the date.
