SB19, Dionela, IV of Spades Headline the 39th Awit Awards Nominations
The Philippine Association of the Record Industry has released the official nominees for the 39th Awit Awards.
The Album of the Year Race
Five records are competing for the top prize. Cup of Joe’s “Silakbo” is up against SB19’s “DAM,” Ben&Ben’s “Saranggola,” IV of Spades’ “Konsensya,” and Dionela featuring Loonie’s “Ikigai.”
Song of the Year
IV of Spades scored two nods here, for “Aura” and “Kabisado.” They are up against Fitterkarma’s “Pag-Ibig Ay Kanibalismo II,” SB19’s “DUNGKA!,” Maki’s “Kahel Na Langit,” and Dionela and Loonie’s “Ikigai.”
Producer and Songwriter of the Year Debut
This year introduces two new awards, Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Producer nominees include Brian Lotho, Shadiel Chan, John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, and Tim Dionela. Songwriter nominees include John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, Blaster Silonga, Daniel Zildjian Benitez, Tim Dionela, Lola Amour, Joao De Leon, and Marlon Peroramas.
Best New Artist nominees: Gab Cabangon, New Lore, VVINK and DJ Love featuring Pio Balbuena, Jamiela, and It All Started in May.
September 15 at MOA Arena
The ceremony is set for September 15, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. PARI is staging the show in partnership with Go Live Asia, and organizers are calling it the biggest edition of the Awit Awards yet.
IV of Spades, Dionela, Cup of Joe, Maki, and Ben&Ben each picked up multiple nominations across the grand, performance, and technical categories, alongside SB19’s citations for “DUNGKA!” and its music video work.
