Converge Keeps Its Broadband Crown for H1 2026

Ookla’s latest report for the first half of 2026 puts Converge at the top of the Philippines’ fixed broadband rankings, covering data from January to June. The company posted a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 73.14, ahead of Globe at 72.56 and PLDT Home Fiber at 70.54.

The Connectivity Score blends speed, latency, and the quality of high-bandwidth activities like streaming and browsing into a single number. Converge also led the Speed Score category at 61.86, compared to Globe’s 60.84 and PLDT Home Fiber’s 58.46. Converge posted a download speed of 143.04 Mbps and an upload speed of 136.24 Mbps, both the highest in the industry.

The One Category Globe Won

Globe edged out Converge in video streaming, 78.04 to 77.91. Converge took web browsing back at 90.91, the highest score in the country.

Latency Is Where Converge Pulled Ahead Most

Converge’s Latency Score of 14.44 topped the category by a wide margin. Lower latency means faster response times, which matters most in gaming, video calls, and real-time transactions. Converge COO Benjamin Azada tied the result to four straight years of Fastest Fixed Network recognition and three years as best ISP.

Converge VP Orange Ramirez said most people don’t think in terms of network scores day to day, but they feel the difference in every stream, call, or online transaction that doesn’t lag. Independent testing is what turns that everyday experience into something measurable.
