Alex Eala’s Calvin Klein Appearance Generated $502,000 in Media Value at NYFW
Alex Eala closed out her US Open campaign with a third round finish. Days later she was in New York for a different reason, working through three of Fashion Week’s biggest shows: Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and Calvin Klein, in an all-white Calvin Klein Collection look by Veronica Leoni for the Calvin Klein stop.
The Number Behind the Seat
Calvin Klein is where the real payoff showed up. Eala’s seat at the show translated into an estimated $502,000 in earned media value, according to influencer marketing platform Lefty, cited by brand agency Karla Otto. Earned media value is an industry metric estimating the publicity a brand gets from a guest’s appearance based on the coverage it draws, as opposed to paid advertising. GMA Network reported the same $502,000 figure independently, also citing Lefty.
How She Compares
Fellow Filipina Heart Evangelista also showed up on the Lefty list, worth an estimated $5.6 million across seven shows. That put her behind Thai actress Love, who reportedly generated $6.7 million. The same report named Thai influencer Thanachok Siriwiraphan, actress Lingling Kwong, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo among the other notable media-value generators from the week.
Eala’s $502,000 came from a single show. Evangelista’s $5.6 million came from seven.
