SB19 Makes Their anan Debut on the Back Cover
SB19 is on the back cover of anan Issue 2512, out in Japan on September 16. First time in the publication.
The issue is built around the magazine’s annual Borderless Culture feature, which looks at people, things, and moments that don’t stay in their lane. People who cross genre, nationality, generation. SB19 has been doing exactly that for a few years now.
The shoot and what’s inside
The editorial feature has solo and group shots. The group wore black-and-white leather-accented outfits with gloves and ties. The interviews ran as both solo sessions and a group conversation, covering their Summer Sonic 2026 experience, member introductions for Japanese readers who are just now finding them, their favorite parts of Japanese culture, the group’s dynamic, and what it actually means to be out there representing P-pop to audiences who’ve never heard of it.
They were at Summer Sonic in August, performing both the Tokyo and Osaka legs. At the Tokyo show, Kento Nakajima joined them on stage for “GENTO.”
Where they are right now
Before that, Lollapalooza. July 30 in Chicago. First Filipino act to perform there. The group runs 1Z Entertainment, the label they built themselves.
Their March 2026 album “Wakas at Simula” has a collaboration with BE:FIRST called “Toyfriend.” The latest single is “LAWLESS.”
Three world tours. Their own company. Philippines tourism ambassadors this year. The anan back cover is one more line on a list that keeps getting longer.
