BLACKPINK’s Solo Season Just Got Two New Dates
JISOO and LISA broke the news Monday, August 24, posting their announcements a few hours apart on social media. There was no coordinated joint reveal, just two separate drops on the same day.
JISOO’s Carnival Turn
JISOO went first. She posted a spooky video teaser featuring an off-kilter carnival scene, with animatronic animals twitching and glitching after dark in a way that recalled the Five Nights at Freddy’s games. Text on screen read “Click,” with a release date of September 4. The track follows her 2023 debut EP, ME, which held two songs, and her 2025 follow up EP Amortage, featuring “Earthquake,” “Your Love,” “TEARS,” and “Hugs & Kisses.” JISOO has been signaling something bigger for months. In a May interview with V Magazine, she said she was “working on showing a wider range of music” in her first full length, and in July on Hot Ones, she explained that BLACKPINK’s reunion pushed her back into the studio as a soloist.
Design Scene reports that the “Click” video was shot in Bangkok and directed by Joseph Kahn, though that detail hasn’t been confirmed directly by JISOO or her label.
LISA’s Return, Press Play
Shortly after JISOO’s teaser, LISA unveiled the cover art for her next set of songs, Press Play, arriving October 23. The first single, “SaWaDiKa,” lands first, on September 3. LISA had already confirmed she’d started work on her next album in a June Vanity Fair cover story, following her 2025 debut record, Alter Ego.
A Crowded Late Summer
The announcements land just days after JENNIE revealed her own solo EP, Fallen Angel, due August 28 with three songs: “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN,” and “Less Than a Lover.” All three rollouts follow BLACKPINK’s reunion era, which included a global stadium tour last year and February’s Deadline EP, a release that debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
